Sorry for the lack of posts for the past few weeks! Heres a recipe to make up for it!!! This is great for dinner, lunch, potlucks and you can wrap it up in a nice big leaf of lettuce for a wrap on the go! Two of the ingredients I ordered through amazon because I noticed them in a lot of paleo websites and thought I should give them a try!
1/4 c tamari~
4 T fish sauce~
2 T sesame oil
1 T minced garlic
juice of 1 lime
drizzle of hot sauce
Mix marinade ingredients then, split in half. Take the flank steak out of the wrapping, rinse in cold water and pat dry. Make 5-8 slices WITH the grain across the steak (not too deep), flip it over and do it again. Pour 1/2 of the marinade in a zip lock bag with the flank steak and let meat soak for 4- 24 hours.
Grill or broil the flank steak until desired doneness. I like mine to get pretty brown! While the meat is cooking, prep the salad. Shred the romaine lettuce, quarter the tomatoes, add the carrots, sprouts, green onions, cilantro then pour other half of the marinade. Take the meat out of the oven/grill and let cool for about 10 minutes and then slice against the grain into strips. Place the strips on the salad, sprinkle with lime juice and enjoy!
